*The annual meeting will be held in February at 7:00 p.m. at Western Federal Credit Union at 14500 Aviation Boulevard, Hawthorne, CA 90250.
*All other regularly scheduled meetings will be held at Manhattan Village Community Room, 3200 Sepulveda Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
As you may have noticed, there are a number of remodels and updates underway in the Estate Homes with many homeowners adding on above their garages, repainting, replacing garage doors, roofs, expanding their side gates, improving landscaping and more. Some of the more unique requests have been the addition of solar tubes, solar panels and synthetic grass in back yards. The remodeling process is often difficult and stressful. One way to help the process with our Architectural Committee (AC) is to provide them with two sets of finished architectural plans. These are the plans that are required by the city for permits. Once the AC has reviewed and approved plans, they'll provide the homeowner with a stamped set of plans and approval letter to provide the city and the other set of plans will stay in our files with Avalon Management.
Reminder: Any major landscape or hardscape changes in the back yard must have prior approval by the AC before proceeding.
